cafe musings.

What does one do when they're temporarily staying in a sleepy beach town with nothing to do? One scours the entire city for great coffee shops. I've been missing a really good cappuccino ever since we moved here a month ago. I was spoiled in Pasadena with Intelligentsia just around the corner but it seems that the South Bay didn't get the memo when it comes to great coffee. Seriously, I think I've wasted a lot of money on undrinkable cappuccinos since I got here. But, I did come across this gem of a cafe - Gum Tree. It's an adorable little cafe with a tiny little shop attached to it with an amazing curation of products. I found a Dash & Albert rug there that I'm dying to get my hands on for the new house.

A lot has changed since I moved away from here five years ago and it's been so fun to discover all of the new shops and cafes that have opened since. Our adventures continue as we wait for our home to be ready for move-in. Four more weeks and counting....
